Once the beast was defeated, there was a moment of calm, a moment of cautious silence. Then, slowly, the rover began to, to shrink? All of its mutations just shrank away and it was nothing more than a regular rover.

Kree couldn't quite make sense of it but Alfred knew and spoke up. "Whoa, it was a regular Winter Rose Rover but was being affected by transfiguration magic? Something was forcibly morphing this Rover." He then looked around and spotted the device, to which he ran to it. Kree Saban tried to stop him, reaching out to grab him, but failed, due to the efforts of the fight doing a number on him for sure.

Alfred got to the device and was looking it over, it was quite large, looked like a person could fit in it if it was hallow. He began taking notes and pictures, even began poking at it after taking some readings. Something happened though on one of his numerous pokes and the device seemed to pop and hiss, like air was being released.

The device opened up, like some kind of pod, and Alfred got a mixed look of shock. A look of astonish, surprise, excitement, and yet also fear and confusion. "This ... this is a vessel. A space vessel." He looked to Kree with worry. "Someone or something came here in this!"

Due to Krees Int roll, he couldn't quite tell what it was, but he did know, this device looked familiar to him, like maybe he'd come across them before in his travels through space, doing his bounty hunting thing. He just couldn't quite put his finger on it though.

Kir'Thalos stops channeling Fire Bend and has Sakuro Hurogetsi continue his work. Which he finishes up gathering data from rocks in the area before he shows Kir'Thalos they are ready to move on and leads the way deeper west.

Kir'Thalos doesn't notice anything else in the immediate area that could be stalking them so he follows along, keeping close to Sakuro.

As they travel, Sakuro with his device out, constantly taking readings now, they begin to hear this ca-caw in the distance to the south. It didn't sound like it was directly upon them though.

Kree catches his breath and uses Self Repair to get some armor life back in the downtime and follows Alfred. He looks over the ship thinking before running a scan over it with his eye. "This looks familiar..." He would try to remember where he has seen this before again while scanning it.

Sakuro listened for the noise again, and it did happen again. His hearing was a bit better than Kir'Thalos'. "Hrm, sounds like a Cockatrice, bad news that. Though it sounds like it is engaged with something else, something that doesn't make a noise back." He takes a breath, as if to prep himself. "Which could mean we are getting closer to some of the local cannibal friendly tribes." He said disheartening tone, but one that is still ready to press on.

Kree uses his Self Repair capability to restore 20% of his Armor Life! AL:360/72

He then uses his eye to scan the device and look into his database. After scanning it, he doesn't need to search his database, the info he gets jogs his memory. This device comes from a far off planet in a completely other solar system where humans, or things that look much like humans here, are a dominant race of the planet.

He recalls having a contract to go there once and retrieve a man who made illegal devices of war. Dead or alive the contract was, and Kree had to bring him back dead due to his resistance.

Sakuro nods and they continue on as quietly as can be. Luckily the thing sounds like it is preoccupied with something so it's not too hard for them to go on undetected for now.

Eventually they come into a strange section of forest. A part that looks more over grown than the rest. Sakuro's device is giving him readings that he needs to investigate. "This area is pretty interesting too. I need to get some readings and samples from here. Please, watch my back while I do." He tells Kir'Thalos as he goes around the little over grown area, getting readings and taking samples.

Kir'Thalos fails to notice anything going on though as Sakuro is doing all this ...

Maverick ...

Sakuro speaks without looking away from his devices or the area. "It is going well, these readings are quite interesting." He paused a moment and looked more intently at something. "What is that? .. Oh crap ..."

At that moment, a planted arm burst forward from the ground, almost hitting Sakuro but he managed to backhop away. The arm carried the swing around into grasping the ground and pulling itself out of the roots and mossy ground. Its form was amorphous and changing until it took on a humanoid like shape, though tall and dangly, more like wide brush stick man figure that was completely made up of grass, wood, flowers, and vines. The head turned to Kir'Thalos and roared, however its roar sounded like a windy, hallowed, ghostly wail that couldn't quite pierce through the veil to our world.

Not sure which door you're talking of given your current location, but I'll assume it's the center door in the hallway on the opposite side of the hall as you are.

Leachlainn heads outside the room and finds the 3rd door on the west side of the hallway, the center door. He opens it up to find that it was another room for the dead. However these dead were active and when he opened the door, they came alert, getting up and looking to him. Another 14 skeletons coming alert and becoming aware that there was someone here.

Etalabastic leans in and whispers to Leachlainn. "Should probably be more careful about barging through doors in this place."
Least Leachlainn was learning that this wing of the Mausoleum was clearly made active already.

Kir'Thalos clangs the blade right up into the Plant Beings thigh and stomach, dealing it 114Dmg!
The blade caught into it enough to knock the Plant Being back 10m! It was knocked away from the area Sakuro was taking readings on and went about 8m before colliding into a tree, taking an additional 6Dmg!

Etalabastic nods with a fist to its chest, understanding, as it is desummoned. Then Leachlainn shapeshifts into a Skeleton, hopefully before they notice.

The skeletons got up and/or out of their resting places and came to the door, looking Leachlainn over. Before Leachlainn can begin his search, they clutter around him, looking to him, making these gestures with their heads as if they were asking him if he knows what is going on. Like maybe they think he saw the intruder that popped through their door. They were waiting for an answer, but also looking him over, he needs to try to pass them off and make them truly believe he is one of them before he can continue doing anything else!
